Interesting Fact: The Rufous-sided Towhee was split into two species – the Spotted Towhee of the western United States and the Eastern Towhee, which is more common in Arkansas. But look closely when you see a towhee because the Spotted Towhee is occasionally spotted in Arkansas in winter.
