Voice: Song is a series of fast, musical phrases like an American Robin that has taken voice lessons. Call note is a metallic chink.

Habitat: A variety of wooded habitats including towns. More commonly seen in the spring than fall.
Interesting Fact: Grosbeak means big beak and refers to the large, conical bill on this and other grosbeaks. The beak is used to crush seeds, but insects also make up a large portion of the diet.
